A gas or air booster is a device that increases the pressure of gas or air. So the result is higher outlet pressure comparing to the inlet pressure. Also there are liquid boosters which increase the pressure of a fluid.
Booster pumps are usually designed in two types: Piston design boosters and screw design boosters.
